# Dashboards

## Open Analytics

Choose **Analytics** in Kontala's menu.
Kontala Analytics opens at [konta.la/analytics](https://konta.la/analytics), already signed in with your Kontala account.
Use **Back to Kontala** in its top bar to return.

## The dashboards

Kontala publishes nine dashboards to the **Kontala** space, built from your own events:

| Dashboard | Tabs |
| --- | --- |
| Overview | |
| Acquisition: where do people come from? | Channels, Campaigns & spend, Landing pages |
| Engagement: Do they stick? | Engagement, Pages, Key elements, Coming back |
| Conversion: do they do the thing? | Conversion, Who converts, Funnels, Micro vs macro, Time to convert |
| Attribution: which channel gets credit? | Credit, Assists, Paths |
| Retention and cohorts | Return rate, Activation, Churn and stickiness, Lifetime value |
| Audience: who are they? | Audience, Location, Technology, New vs returning, Identified, Organisations |
| Product and app usage | Usage, Features, Paths, Friction, Speed |
| Trend and anomaly: what changed and why? | Week over week, Year over year, Unusual days, What drove it, Before and after |

Start with the **Overview**, which leads to the others.

## Filters and date zoom

Use a dashboard's filters to narrow every chart on it at once, for example to one site, channel or country.
Date zoom switches its time charts between days, weeks, months, quarters and years.

## Make a dashboard your own

Kontala keeps its dashboards up to date, and each update replaces them.
To change one, duplicate it into a space of your own first, then edit your copy.

## What you will see when

- A dashboard only shows what your properties capture.
For example, the Friction tab stays empty until Friction is turned on, and Carts and Checkout need the [Shopify pixel](/docs/data-capture/shopify-checkout) or a mapped data layer.
- Changes to page types, click types and data layer mappings appear once someone presses **Publish** in Data Capture.
