Send a purchase order

Once you have created a purchase order, you can get it to your supplier as a PDF or by email.

Download the PDF

Open the order and choose Print PDF. Kontala downloads a PDF of the order, with your company name and the order number in the filename. It includes the order lines, VAT, and the delivery details you entered.

Email it to the supplier

1. Open the order and choose Email.
2. Check the To address. It is pre-filled with the supplier's email address, and you can separate multiple addresses with a comma.
3. Edit the Subject and Content if you like. The subject is pre-filled with your company name and the order number.
4. Tick Email a copy to me if you want a copy in your own inbox.
5. Choose Send email.

The From line shows your name over a Kontala sending address, and the supplier's reply goes to your own email address. The Attachment line shows the PDF that will be attached. After sending, the order page shows who it was last emailed to and when.

Emailing does not change the order's status, and you can email an order as many times as you need.
