Send an invoice
How to download an invoice as a PDF or email it to your customer directly from Kontala.
Last updated 20 July 2026.
Once you have created an invoice and chosen Mark as Sent, you can get it to your customer as a PDF or by email.
Download the PDF
Open the invoice and choose Save as PDF. Kontala downloads a PDF of the invoice, with your company name and the invoice reference in the filename. The PDF includes your company details and logo, the customer's address, the line items, VAT, and the payment due date.
Email the invoice
- Open the invoice and choose Email invoice.
- Check the To address. It is pre-filled with the contact's email address, and you can separate multiple addresses with a comma.
- Edit the Subject and Content if you like. The message is pre-filled with the invoice reference, the total, and the payment due date.
- Tick Email a copy to me if you want a copy in your own inbox.
- Choose Send email.
The From line shows your name over a Kontala sending address, and the Attachment line shows the PDF that will be attached. After sending, the invoice page shows who it was last emailed to and when.
You can email an invoice as many times as you need, for example to chase payment or to resend a copy.
