Reset your data

Clear your imported transactions and connections to start fresh, without deleting your account.

If you want a clean slate - for example, after testing with a sample export - you can reset your data without closing your account.

What a reset does

  • Removes the transactions Kontala has imported.
  • Clears your connected sources, so you can reconnect from scratch.
  • Keeps your account and login intact.

How to reset

  1. Go to Settings → Data.
  2. Choose Reset my data and confirm.

Before you reset

A reset cannot be undone, so only do it if you are sure. Already-submitted returns remain on record with HMRC regardless of a reset. If instead you want to remove everything and close your account, see Delete your account.
